MEMBERSHIP PROCESS
To become a member of the Consultant’s Roundtable, the prospective member will be a guest at one meeting but no more than two meetings and complete an application for membership. The Leadership Council will review the application against the qualification requirements, determine eligibility for membership, and approve, disapprove, or request more information.

QUALITIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Membership in the Consultant’s Roundtable shall be open to individuals who:

  • Are the/an owner of a small, independent business which offers consulting services to other businesses as its primary business activity.
  • Intends to engage in the delivery of consulting services as their primary business activity on a long-term basis.
  • Subscribes to and conducts themselves within the Consultant Roundtable Code of Ethics.
  • Attends not less than four Consultant Roundtable meetings per year.
    A business owner engaging in consulting as a secondary service with a non-consulting primary activity – even if the primary activity is business to business – DOES NOT qualify for Roundtable membership.

DEFINITION OF CONSULTING SERVICES
For the purposes of Consultant’s Roundtable membership, “Consulting Services” will be defined as:

  • Specialized skills, expertise or capabilities,
  • Provided for the purpose of resolving a particular customer problem/issue or to capitalize on a specific customer opportunity,
  • Delivered without the detailed direction of the customer,
  • On a temporary or intermittent basis,
  • In return for mutually agreed compensation.
